I compiled some of the messages flying around about who to contact in
New Jersey and how. The NJ legislature getting a blitz of feedback so
you can bet they are feeling some major pressure. It will be their
worst nightmare if this story ever hits the newspapers.

"I got a notice that Senator Turner requested that we should keep the
Indian Assemblyman, Upendra Chivukula, in the dark. She does not want
him to know what is going on and what we are doing. This makes sense
because we do not want our enemies to know our strategies; otherwise
they will fight us harder."

I decided not to heed Turner's request. I prefer to let all of the
assembly know my thoughts and that includes Chivukula. To that end I
have sent the entire Senate and Legislature my "Gangs of New Jersey"
series and will continue to do so. Turner's request shouldn't be taken
lightly so all of you should use your own judgement about what you send
out in your emails.

I explained in Part 2 that Chivukula's loyalty to America is in doubt.
I have reliable information that he is very chummy with NASSCOM and was
a key factor in holding up this bill. That doesn't mean we should put
the blame on him only. Keep in mind that Assemblyman Alfred Steele
tabled the bill, not Chivukula. The entire legislature deserves blame
for the cowardly way they decided not to vote on the bill.

To give some of these sellouts on the phone, got to this page for their
numbers:
http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/members/abcroster.asp

The TechsUnite mailing list deleted Chivukula's email address. I put
him back in so if you use my list below just remember to remove it if
you don't want him to read your email. My list is easier to cut and
past into your email address book because I parsed it.

Assemblyman Upendra Chivukula: (remove if desired)
AsmChivukula@njleg.org

I also have two Senate lists. Neither are totally up to date, so you
can decide whether to combine them and live with lots of bounces.
Remember the Senate is 100% on our side, so sending email to them will
be preaching to the choir.

Here is another stern warning to think before flaming:

> You've got to be very careful on this.
> Otherwise he'll play the Race
> Card. Emphasize that when calling him
> it is crucial to avoid terms like
> "Indians," "Asians," and "you people."
> If he gets even a couple of
> calls like that, he'll tell everyone
> in the legislature that the ones
> who support Turner are "racists."
> And he'll say it behind the scenes;
> you'll never know.

Please consider phone calls, emails or FAXes to the Members of the New
Jersey Assembly who have blocked New Jersey State Senator Shirley
Turners anti-outsourcing Bill.

As many of you know, her bill passed the New Jersey State Senate
Unanimously but was held up in the State Assembly as a result of
lobbying by the ITAA, etc. To jog your memory, S-1349/A-2425
provides that only citizens and legal aliens of the United States may
be employed in performing certain New Jersey State contracts. This Bill
is targeted for defeat by Big Business and its allies like the ITAA
should this legislation be enacted, a precedent would be set and many
other states that are considering similar legislation could follow
suit. Lets keep some of our jobs here in our country, for our own
citizens, and let the foot draggers in the New Jersey State Assembly
know there is broad support for this legislation from all over the
country.

Please refer to the Bill Number when sending your message. Suggestion:
Put Pass S-1349 / A-2425 in the Subject Line.

Dear Mr. (name witheld):

Thank you for your recent phone call of support to my
office regarding my outsourcing bill, S-1349/A-2425. I appreciate
hearing from you. S-1349/A-2425 provides that only citizens and legal
aliens of the United States may be employed in performing certain New
Jersey State contracts. As you may know, this bill was considered by
the Assembly State Government Committee on March 6th 2003, however, the
bill was held from consideration by Assemblyman Alfred Steele, who felt
it was best to continue a dialogue about the ramifications of the
bills provisions before proceeding. As a result, S-1349/A-2425 is
still pending in the Assembly State Government Committee.

It is now time to take the fight to the Assembly! Please urge your
friends and colleagues to email Governor McGreevey and the members of
the General Assembly and voice their support for S-1349/A-2425. I have
provided their email addresses for you below.

Governor McGreevey

Here is another letter from Senator Turner. Assemblyman Alfred Steele
held back the New Jersey Bill S-1349/A-2425 and she wants us to e-mail
Governor McGreevey and all the Assembly members.

"Thank you for your recent inquiry to my office regarding my

bill was considered by the Assembly State Government Committee on March

I appreciate the advocacy that you have undertaken on behalf of my
bill. It is now time to take the fight to the Assembly! Please urge
your friends and colleagues to email Governor McGreevey and the members
of the General Assembly and voice their support for S-1349/A-2425. I
have provided their email addresses for you below.

Governor McGreevey: Can email him if you access website:

Friends,

Please consider using the TechsUnite link to easily send a fax to all
related parties in the above New Jersey legislation. It's not only
easy, they allow you to add your own comments before sending the
message. Great tool by a couple of great organizations, THAT WILL BE
AROUND FOR A WHILE.

Let's show them the entire country is watching!

Thanks and Best Regards,

Tim

ps. If you have any friends in New Jersey ask them to give a call to
voice support for the requiring the use of American resident workers.
Perhaps we could even get them to call their friends and request that
THEY too call and have THEIR friends call as well, let's bury the
bastards being bought off by the lobbyists.

pss. Many of you know this already, but the "good guy" appears to be:
Senator Shirley K. Turner, D. NJ Legislative District 15 She needs our
support against the Indian lobbyist groups, and the ITAA leveraging the
cheap foreign labor.
