If you want to send Congress the message that H-1B and outsourcing must
be stopped there are some free services that are available. Sending
email to Congress is not very effective because emails are usually
ignored. Faxes are more effective and are usually at least read by
staffers. I have received many reply letters, albeit form letters, as a
result of the NumbersUSA faxes.
NumbersUSA has an excellent fax system:
http://www.numbersusa.com/
Click "Send free Faxes to Congress" in the upper right hand corner.
The NumbersUSA fax system requires that you sign up for a free
membership. They have preformed text messages that will be sent to the
Congresspeople in your district, or even to other states if applicable.
Topics cover a full range of immigration issues including H-1B, L-1
visas and guest-worker amnesty bills. You can get email alerts when
there is a fax subject you are interested in. Regular fax senders are
given special accounts with more text editing privileges.

I just learned about this excellent fax system at the FAIRUS site. It
doesn't require a membership, but of course you must enter your name
and address for each fax because that's the first thing your targeted
politicians will notice.
Click the links under "Legislative Alerts and Updates" to get to the
fax for the labeled issue. There are all types of immigration issues
that you can choose from.
The FAIR system has some preformed text, or you can write your own
message. They allow you to choose whether to send a fax, email, or
letter. I don't recommend the email option because most of the time
these are ignored.
A letter that I sent to Arizona politicians for their H-1B alert is at
the bottom of this newsletter.
In my opinion it's a good idea to explain to your Congresspeople that
their behavior is being watched and if they continue to support
nonimmigrant visas they will pay a price on election day. Politicians
only care about being elected and most of them don't consider ethics or
what is right for their constituents as long as the corporate money
keeps flowing into their coffers. Threats of voter backlash may get
their attention because all the corporate money in the world won't help
if they lose the election.

Dear [recipient name was inserted here],
I lost my job and can't get another one - and the economy isn't the
problem. The cause of the job malaise in Arizona is directly related to
the fact that you are allowing a massive inflow of H-1B and L-1 workers
into Arizona.
These nonimmigrants are taking our jobs and allowing companies like
Motorola to move their jobs overseas once they are trained with the
skills and technology that US citizens developed.
I run a website that is dedicated to educating the public to the H-1B
problem, and sadly your name is featured because you support this
American job destruction.
I will do whatever I can to educate Arizonans about your role in this
job destruction unless you change your mind and help to abolish these
visas. You cannot expect Arizona voters to continue to give their
support if you insist on undermining their careers by allowing
companies to import cheap labor from India and China.
Feel free to visit my website at www.ZaZona.com to learn more.
The H-1B program needs to be curbed or eliminated, not made more
generous. Please help to get our jobs back by opposing these visas.
Sincerely,
Rob Sanchez
